If she marks other creatures using other powers, the target is still marked. A creature can be subject to only one mark at a time. A new mark supersedes a mark that was already in place. If her marked target makes an attack that doesn’t include her as a target, it takes a –2 penalty to attack rolls. If that attack hits and the marked target is within 10 squares of her, she can use an immediate interrupt to reduce the damage dealt by that attack to any one creature by an amount equal to 5 + her Constitution modifier. Trigger: Tana succeeds on a monster knowledge check against a monster that she can see or hear.Effect: If Tana's check result meets or exceeds the hard DC for the monster’s level, Tana gains a +4 power bonus to all defenses against the monster's attacks until the end of Tana's next turn. Additionally, until the end of Tana's next turn, Tana gains a power bonus to damage rolls against the target equal to her Intelligence modifier, but not when she deals damage that the target resists. If Tana's check result does not meet or exceed the hard DC, her attacks against the target deal only half damage until the end of her next turn.

Critical: +1d6 damage per plus, or +1d8 per plus when used as an implement for an arcane power. Property: This weapon can be used as a heavy thrown weapon with a range of 5/10. Since Tana has the Swordbond class feature, she can call this weapon to her hand from up to a mile away.
Runic Leather Armor +1
Property: Tana gains an item bonus to Arcana checks equal to the armor’s enhancement bonus. Property: When Tana uses her second wind, she also gains a bonus to damage rolls with arcane attack powers equal to the armor’s enhancement bonus until the end of her next turn.
Amulet of Life +1
Power (Encounter * Healing): Free Action. Trigger: Use this power when Tana spends a healing surge. Effect: She can spend an additional healing surge.
Swordbond
By spending 1 hour of meditation with a chosen light or heavy blade, Tana forges a special bond with the weapon. As a standard action, she can call her bonded weapon to her hand from up to 10 squares away. She can forge a bond with a different blade using the same meditation process (for instance, if she acquires a new blade that has magical abilities). If she forges a bond with a different blade, the old bond dissipates. If her bonded weapon is broken or damaged, she can spend 1 hour of meditation to recreate the weapon from a fragment. (This process automatically destroys any other fragments of the weapon in existence, so she can’t use it to create multiple copies of a broken weapon.)
Swordmage Warding
While Tana is conscious and wielding either a light blade or a heavy blade, she maintains a field of magical force around her. This field provides a +1 bonus to AC, or a +3 bonus if she is wielding a blade in one hand and have her other hand free (not carrying a shield, an off-hand weapon, a two-handed weapon, or anything else).

Character Information Edit

Background Edit

Tana's normal employer is the Library of Korranberg; she's provided the 'muscle' for more than one research expedition -- though she's quite skilled with arcane lore in her own right. She was born and raised in Korranberg, Zilargo. She was a child or very young adult during the Last War, and Zilargo one of the few refuges of peace and safety in the last decades of the conflict. As such, she was merely an advanced student of sword magic when she learned of what had happened to Cyre.

Tana is tall and slender by gnomish standards, she caries her self in much the style minor nobles often do - with little armor, fine clothes, and rapier on her back.

Like most Zil gnomes, Tana is intensely curious about everything. She loves that her work has given her opportunities to see distant parts of the world, ancient ruins, bizarre creatures, and more.
